Overview

JOB TITLE:   Fuel/Lube Truck Driver  

REPORTING TO: Fuel Operations Manager 

 

FUNCTION:  Under the direction of the Fuel Operations Manager, the Fuel/Lube Truck Driver is primarily responsible to perform oil and preventative maintenance of equipment, maintain parts inventory, and make deliveries as needed.  

 

KEY ACTIVITIES:  

  • Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company mission, vision, and values; 

  • Perform oil and preventative maintenance, parts inventory, and ordering duties; 

  • Provide maintenance around the shop; 

  • Assist in deliveries of various products; 

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment free from hazards; 

  • Operate forklift; 

  • Maintain commercial driver’s license (CDL) and department of transportation (DOT) medical card. 

  • Perform other duties as required. 

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:  

  • Basic mechanic skills and preventative maintenance of: 

  • Peterbilt tractors; 

  • Trailers; 

  • Box vans; and 

  • Forklifts. 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  

  • Valid CDL required;  

  • Hazmat preferred; and 

  • Fuel delivery experience preferred. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and up to 100 lbs. with assistance; 

  • Regular exposure to the elements; 

  • Climbing stairs and ladders; 

  • Extensive standing and moving—up to 8 hours per day; 

  • Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, crawl, and maneuver around and under equipment.
