Overview

Title: Fuel Transport Driver

Reports To: Fuel Operations Manager

 

Description:

The Fuel Transport Driver will load, haul, and deliver fuel for our customers. This role is primarily day trips with limited overnight time. 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Operate the truck loading system in a safe and efficient manner. 

  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections on equipment, report incidents or mechanical issues and assist in equipment maintenance. 

  • Maintain truck, trailer, and associated equipment in clean and in good working order always. 

  • Load, haul, and deliver fuel for customers following company procedure. Monitor the load and unload process from an outside vantage point and ensure all equipment is in good working order. 

  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all applicable laws. 

  • Maintain accurate delivery information including but not limited to tank readings, bill of ladings, load documentation, pre and post trip inspections, legal logs and hours, etc. 

  • Occasional extended hours and weekend shifts, 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. 

  • Problem solving skills. 

  • Ability to communicate clearly. 

  • Works well with others. 

  • Able to lead by example. 

  • Knowledge of all fuel equipment. 

Education and Certificates: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 

  • Experience in safety sensitive positions preferred. 

  • Experience with railcar and truck unloading equipment preferred. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to move up to 100 lbs. repetitively. 

  • Frequent bending, standing, lifting, climbing, and ongoing physical activity. 

  • Regular exposure to outdoor elements.
