TITLE: Plant Operator
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager

What You’ll Do
- Plant opening and closing responsibilities
- Unloading railcars safely and efficiently
- Troubleshooting issues and solving problems as they arise
- Operating a railcar mover as needed
- Scaling railcar ladders
- Working from heights to lance and empty railcars
- Performing basic maintenance and repair s
- Inspecting and performing railcar repairs (depending on severity)
- Maintaining a safe working environment
- Keeping the facility clean, organized, and operating efficiently
- Supporting other operational needs as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
The following experience is helpful but not required:
- Experience with railcar movers
- Mechanical maintenance experience
- Plant operations experience
- Rail industry experience
- CDL or familiarity with DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Experience working in safety-sensitive environments
- Organizing the work and leading teams using standard operating procedures
- Experience with railcar and truck unloading equipment
Education and Experience
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent experience;
- Relevant work experience preferred
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move up to 30 - 50 lbs. repetitively
- Frequent bending, standing, lifting, climbing, scaling, and ongoing physical activity
- Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions
- Regular work at heights
- Ongoing physical activity throughout the workday
